In essence the word Padmashali is coinaage of two words, viz., padma and shali. The word "Padma" is sahasradala padma, meaning the highest order of human intelligence. In body chakras "Padma" refers to sahasrara. The word "Shali" in Sanskrit is 'be holder'. Thus "Padmashali" literally means holder of sahasrara. In physical term it means intelligence.

Another mythological story relates to the Padmavathi, wife of Sri Srinivasa. It is believed that Padmavathi of Mangapura of Tirupati declares that she was the daughter of Padmashali. Hence, the name Padmashali. There exists writing in Tirupati to evidence the statement of Padmavathi as daughter of Padmashali's. Another aspect of Padmashali, Padma also refers to Lotus. The Lotus also refers to the intelligence or awakening of sahasrara. musham@gmail.com
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/padmashaly/Ancient Coinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13412454164930361416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1264197524592773799.post-53711771469300426402008-06-28T05:16:00.000-05:002008-06-28T05:16:00.000-05:00Our family hail from one of the oldest family to o...Our family hail from one of the oldest family to open cloth shop wholesale one at secundrabad in 1937
i am intersted in development and export of handloom textiles to any country see my link philanumiscom.blogspot.com
Now i am net editor for both popular weavers magazines publised monthly so we can interact in this subject maybe publish few aricles on weavers plight give your email mine is musham@gmail.com
hope to hear from u soon
musham damodhar
phone no 9441816605
91-040-27804112Ancient Coinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13412454164930361416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1264197524592773799.post-46087724373610006912008-06-27T15:23:00.000-05:002008-06-27T15:23:00.000-05:00It is an irony that hand woven clothes and crafts'...It is an irony that hand woven clothes and crafts' demands are declining in India whereas increasing overseas. They are priced high and valued more, especially in the United States and UK. If the same Andhra Pradesh’s hand made items will have a foreign tag, the value and price will increase. I think we should export all the hand made items, get it imported back and resell till people get the message.

Online shopping trends show that Indian handmade products have good internet sales.
